Pet Retreat features on Real Housewives of Cheshire

Cast members visit Bowdon salon for staffy Bella

The Pet Retreat’s dog grooming salon in Altrincham received some TV attention this week as the cast of The Real Housewives of Cheshire paid a visit. Ampika Pickston took some time away from her own health and beauty regime to ensure that her Staffordshire bull terrier Bella received some celeb pampering of her own.

The episode, which aired on Monday night, saw the pooch receive some of The Pet Retreat’s VIP treatments, including the mineral mud bath and massage. As she was indulged by our Salon Manager Emma, her owner shared the usual gossip with her fellow cast member Lauren Simon at the front of the shop.

The Pet Retreat is no stranger to treating spoilt pets with natural dog products and haircuts to impress. In the episode Ampika Pickston commented on how her dog deserved the same attention that she herself enjoys. She said: “At the end of the day if you spend money making yourself look and feel fabulous Bella’s exactly the same!”

Dog grooming for Very Important Pets

Although Salon Manager Emma doesn’t think a career in TV beckons for herself she enjoyed the experience of being on TV and serving the celebrity clientele. She said: “It was a great experience having the cast and cameras in. I enjoyed being on the TV and it was a great opportunity to show the ITV viewers what The Pet Retreat is about. Hopefully we’ll see more star pups in the near future!”

The ITVBe show is a spin-off of the US show The Real Housewives of Orange County and it features some of the regions wealthiest female residents. Other members of the cast include Tanya Bardsley, wife to Sunderland footballer Phil Bardsley, and Leanne Brown, wife of the former England international footballer Wes Brown.
